    We enjoyed our stay at this cute house. It was clean and had plenty of blankets/pillows/towels for our stay. The heater kept us nice and warm from the outside cold. We appreciated how quickly we had hot water from the sinks and shower, which is a blessing when it’s so cold. The view they had from their deck was so beautiful, it looked fake!
    We happened to arrive the day after Christmas, and it snowed all day and night. Due to that, the roads can be a little scary down the windy hills. Definitely bring chains if there’s any kind of snow, whether you have 4-wheel drive or not.
    Not sure if this is a property OR rental management thing, but there is one negative here: having to take our trash to the trash place. This should be something the cleaning people take care of at the end of our stay. It is very inconvenient. Even if we’re charged an additional small fee for trash removal, it would be worth the hassle.
    Other than that, everything else was great!

    There is a lot to like about this property. If you want peace and quiet and an escape from the city and heat of summer it is great. The interior of the unit is well apportioned. No doubt it is a little small, but for the 3 of us, it worked out very well. The deck is a great spot for morning coffee or late cocktail. We did see several coyotes while there and other smaller wildlife. The unit sits below the main road, and has a staircase of nearly 40 stairs that take you from the road to the unit. It provides great isolation and overall we liked it, but if you don't like to climb stairs, it might not be for you. Because of its isolation, it may seem a bit removed from services and the lake, which it is. A sold 10-minute drive to the lake and key services, but the isolation, peace and quiet made up for it. Only major complaint was the management company itself. The service manager who will be your point of contact was initially accommodating and open to an early check-in (we offered to pay extra for said early check-in), asked me to text him the day of our arrival if we were going to want an early check in which I did. Then when we arrived at noon, he was completely unresponsive to phone calls, and returned a text message when we arrived at their locked office location to sign papers with a curt "I told you our check-in time isn't until 3." At which time, I called the person who assisted in reserving the cabin and she accommodated saying, it is available now, and I will be right there to help you with the papers and get you the keys. The service manager's willingness to go the extra mile was obviously nonexistence, and his curt response to text was not appreciated. Just simply not acceptable to not return phone calls, then send passive aggressive responses. That alone has me questioning if I will ever do business with the this property management group again, much less recommend that anybody in my social sphere should as well.
